For the last six and a half years, Jane has worked on the features desk of The Belfast Telegraph and in 2012 won the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in Northern Ireland feature writer of the year award. The winnning pieces were an interview with ex-prostitute and madam Charlie Daniels, a commentary piece filed from London on the Royal wedding and an article about how prisoners” wives and partners survive doing what’s known as parallel bird. The citation described Jane as a writer at the top of her game. For three years she combined feature writing with editing the More2Life section in The Belfast Telegraph’s sister tabloid, Sunday Life. Jane also regularly edited the papers’ joint Christmas TV Guide.

Jane’s cv includes working as SHE magazine’s Features Editor in the late 80s, reviewing romantic fiction and paperbacks for The Sunday Times and writing about property and personal finance for The Observer. Jane also produced content for a guide book about Belfast, This is Belfast (Kingfisher Media), also published as an app. As well as writing and editing, Jane has taught creative writing to adults and worked on arts PR projects.
